We are delighted to announce that we have signed a new sponsorship agreement with Southampton Football Club to become an Official Supplier of the Premier League club, for the 2016/2017 season.

Since beginning our sponsorship deals with Southampton Football Club in the 2003/2004 season, we have seen the highs, and the lows of our local team, as our static advertising board having remained a fixture throughout the years.

From a high of the UEFA Cup in 2003/2004 season, to the disappointment of relegation the following season, we kept our sponsorship in place. Another tough time of relegation to League One for two seasons saw Saints supporters’ witness some very difficult times, until the Liebherr family rescued the club from the brink of closure. Back-to-back promotions in the 2010/11 and 2011/12 seasons saw them back in the top flight, the Premier League.

The 2012/13 season was our 15th anniversary as a family business, so we decided to enhance our continued support and advertise on the new LED boards surrounding the stadium. Since then, Southampton Football Club has continued to impress in the league, while continuing to produce first in class talent from their academy. They boast an attractive attacking style of quick passing football, and a playing surface that would be the envy of many of the world’s top golf resorts!

Tom James, sponsorship executive at Southampton Football Club said;

“After their outstanding long term support, I am delighted Southampton Freight Services have now become an Official Supplier of Southampton Football Club.

As a club we are committed to long term sustainable relationships with businesses in the region and we now look forward to integrating their first in class service into our partnership during the 2016/2017 season and beyond.”

Our latest partnership will see our advertising feature on the new LED boards prior to kick off at each home game, plus in game advertising for selected fixtures during the Premier League 2016/2017 season. In addition we will have the opportunity to offer our diverse freight forwarding services to the club, and provide our clients with some corporate hospitality during certain matches.

We’re thrilled to continue our long term support of the club.
